Transportation of baggage

During routine transportation, minor damage can be caused to your baggage. We rely on your understanding as the Airline shall not be held responsible for minor damage caused as a result of routine transportation to the airport as well as for defects which cannot be visually identified during check-in.

In order to prevent damage to your baggage, it is recommended to wrap it in a protective film. During the flight and transportation, the baggage can be subjected to various impacts (shaking, falling) which lead to abrasion and scratches. Passengers must take care of their baggage and preclude access to the content of the baggage. To this end, the baggage must be packed as well as locked.

Each piece of checked baggage must be packed in good order to ensure its integrity during carriage and handling and preclude the possibility of causing harm to passengers, crew members, or the aircraft.

It is not recommended to put in your checked baggage fragile items, perishable goods, banknotes, jewellery, precious metals, securities, business documents, keys and other valuable items.

It needs to be reminded that the carrier’s liability for loss in full or in part, or damage of the baggage accepted for carriage by air without declared value is limited to the their cost, but is not more than 600 rubles per kg of the baggage weight (pursuant to Art. 119 Cl. 2 RF Air Code).
